While bringing us materials, a customer often knows for which purposes the translation will be used. Our customers often just wish to understand the text and the translated materials are meant for one-time reading. In such case we are dealing with informative translation.

Informative translation:

Presents the information on the level requested by the customer in order to understand its meaning. In this case the translation might not be syntactically perfect but is grammatically and orthographically correct and carries the meaning of the original material.

The most common kind of translation is so-called regular translation - a translation is grammatically, orthographically and semantically correct and clearly understood. Such translation is used in communication where we do not use an extensive amount of specific vocabulary.

Specialized translation:

Specific texts (e.g. technical texts, user manuals, specific training materials, etc.) in case of which the use of certain and precise terminology is needed. Specialized translation requires proofreading/editing by a specialist or a terminologist and further control of numbers, names, formulas, etc. presented in a text.

Quality translation:

Translation where no mistakes are allowed and in case of which the language use must be perfect (e.g. printed materials, Internet web pages, advertising materials, etc.). The materials needing quality translation must be both proofread and technically edited.

Thus the prior knowledge of the customers assists the work of a translation bureau. The translations with better quality may need more time, but we must keep in mind that we cannot trade quantity for quality.

Consecutive translation
In case of this type of interpreting, the speaker presents his/her text with pauses and the interpreter presents the translation during the pauses held by the speaker in the target language. The speaker and the interpreter speak alternately. The speech with interpretation lasts longer than the speech itself. Consecutive translation can be used with a smaller audience where there is no need for special interpreting equipment.

Simultaneous interpretation
This type of interpreting is carried out simultaneously with the person speaking. Simultaneous translation requires special interpretation equipment (separate cabins for the interpreters, synchronized equipment and the transmission of different languages into the headphones of the listeners using radio or infrared signals). Simultaneous translation is used for longer events taking place in larger premises and the spoken text is simultaneously interpreted into several different languages. The interpreters need to be changed in every 30-45 minutes, thus for one event you need at least 2 interpreters.

Whispered interpretation
Another kind of simultaneous interpretation - if we have a small number of listeners, the interpretation can be provided in a low voice without any special equipment.

A customer should be aware that in order to guarantee high-quality interpretation, the interpreters should receive the materials concerning the upcoming event at least 1 week (if possible, more) in advance. It helps the interpreters to get acquainted with the vocabulary and ask for further advice.

Notarized translations in our bureau are carried out by translators sworn by a notary public. These translations, after they have been authenticated by a notary public, are acceptable in any official level.Notarized translations are carried out pursuant to an original document.

Editing – checking of compliance of the translated text to the original text.

Content editing – it is checked that the meaning of the original text is communicated adequately without leaving anything out, that the sentences are logical and that single terms are used.

Professional editing – it is checked if all the terms used are accurate and relevant.

We recommend editing the materials that are going to be printed and translations of home pages and advertorials.

Thanks to many long-term co-partners in all four continents we provide editing in the land of the language, which is slightly more expensive but guarantees a good and homogenous quality.

As an additional service we provide design/ lay-out of translation which has become very popular. We can carry out the whole work from translation to printing, if necessary. For that we have designers/ lay-out editors in our bureau.

For example, if you bring us operating instructions on paper or send them as a pdf file to be translated and order design/ lay-out from us, in the end you will receive a file which is identical to the original, but in the language and form requested by you. It could be printed right away. Of course, the latter can be arranged by us.

Our full service package includes the preparation of the translation material, translation, editing upon request, layout, preparation for printing and the actual printing, plus the transporting of the materials to your location.If you bring us the material on paper or send it to us electronically as a PDF file, we prepare it for translation – we make a Word file, on the basis of which we make a price offer and perform the translation. If the text is translated and you wish to have it edited, the layout designer shall give the work a form which corresponds 1:1 with the original, but in the desired language. We also offer a printing service and prepare a suitable file for printing. When the work is complete, we forward the printed material to the designated contacts.
